QOV Guidelines  

The first thing to keep in mind when making a Quilt of Valor is that it is a GIFT, not a "charity" quilt.

Here are some things to remember:

Both quilt top and backing are to be made using only high quality, 100% cotton fabrics.  

Size can range between 50" x 60" minimum and 62" x 72" maximum.

Backing for quilt needs to be 6 inches wider and 6 inches longer than quilt top (allows 3" on each edge).

Backing should be squared up before going to the quilter/longarmer.

If label is made by piecer, it is nice to have space available for quilter and binder to add their names.
