About Us

The first meeting of what has now become SC Quilts of Valor was held in August 2004 and consisted of seven ladies who had a desire to support our nation's troups and honor her wounded. Today, roughly 50 individuals are involved in various aspects of the QOV program. The backgrounds of these individuals vary as much as the quilts they create. Some have children in the military, some are former military themselves. Some are content making one quilt, while others average one a month.
The group gathers once a month to have a work day. You do not have to be a "quilter" to attend. We LOVE to have people stop by to see what we are all about - particularly if they are willing to operate an iron!
